Starting The Project

I've decided to keep a blog of my journey in redecorating my (new to me) home on a very tight budget of just $1,000. This is my first home and my first major decorating job.

A little bit about my home - It's a nice, modest home with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, office, kitchen and living room. I will be decorating all six rooms by giving the entire house a basic face lift. It's a pretty nice house in itself, but it's lacking a fresh look. More than anything, it requires a few coats of paint and a few home-y touches.

I intend to paint every room of the house as well as completely redecorate the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. As I said, I have a budget of just $1,000 and I will have to buy everything needed for the job - paint, supplies, new bedding, accessories, etc.

I hope this blog helps others who may be decorating their homes on a tight budget. Hopefully we both learn something new from the experience!
